Long-lasting sun cream for children - that doesn't stain

Looking for a suns cream to apply on the children before school to take them through the day that doesn't leave their white shirts stained.

All of their shirts were stained last year and I remember coming on here last year for a solution but I can't remember if anyone had the answer. I hope someone does this time around!

Boots Soltan once has been ok for us, no staining that I've noticed.

LikeASoulWithoutAMind · 12/05/2015 20:48

boots soltan once does stain white clothes I'm afraid. I was thinking of trying Ultrasun but I've a feeling someone said the other day that it stains too? Would love to know the answer Smile

I'm just resigned to yellow collars Confused.

Banana boat powder dry.

Non sticky and dries like a powder, has never stained any of my kid's clothes and even the spf30 keeps them as pale as ghosts!Grin

Ifyoubuildit · 12/05/2015 20:52

They all bloody stain! Ultrasun dried really quickly though

RavioliOnToast · 12/05/2015 23:21

I use either Nivea or asda, both do.an invisible spray which do NOT stain :)

LikeASoulWithoutAMind · 13/05/2015 10:29

Is either of those a long lasting one ravioli ? My lot are very pale so I need an 8 hour number to last all day at school.

lurkingaround · 13/05/2015 10:58

Marking place.

I think they all stain. Would love one that doesn't. And one that doesn't sting eyes.

(Not to highjack) To summarise: I/we need a 1. long-wear water-resistant sunscreen that 2. doesn't stain clothes, and 3. doesn't sting eyes. Imposssible I think. Men on the moon... But if anyone knows that would be just marvelloso.

RavioliOnToast · 13/05/2015 11:43

nivea this one is water resistant and it's never stained any of my lots clothes, even when baby dribbles and it runs off her face onto her bib.

RavioliOnToast · 13/05/2015 11:45

Can't say if it's long lasting, I'll usually apply on a morning and maybe after lunch and that's only if I remember to reapply, no sunburn so far xx

FuckingLiability · 13/05/2015 11:47

I was asking about this the other day too. Ultrasun and P20 do stain.

I'll check out the Nivea spray.

ChablisLover · 13/05/2015 11:50

Nivea invisible doesn't stain

Moodykat · 13/05/2015 11:58

I use this Calypso once a day stuff for mine. It is more like an oil but it definitely protects my DC's and it SO much easier than a cream to apply!

Housewife2010 · 13/05/2015 12:03

I've tried lots of different creams on mine over the years. In the hot weather I'll apply it before school and have never had any staining on their clothes (from sun cream anyway!) My top tip is to apply it to them first thing when they're in their pants and leave it to absorb for a few minutes before getting dressed.

We borrowed some Parasol when out with friends last summer and will definitely be buying it this year. They use it because their daughter has very sensitive skin, it's clear and very easy to put on, lasted all day on our dcs. It's expensive, but I have seen it much cheaper than on that amazon link.
