Could they work on a shorty ? I want some but I am 5 ft 1 . I think probably not but ???

OP posts:
ALittleLemonTwist · 11/05/2015 18:00

Im 5ft 3 and mine are dreadfully unflattering and will be e bayed!

ZaraW · 11/05/2015 18:04

I'm 5' 9" and they looked truly awful on me far too much material.

resipsa · 11/05/2015 18:06

Thanks for this thread; will now avoid an expensive mistake!

Twinklestar2 · 11/05/2015 18:08

Res!!! I've sent you a pm, have you received it? (Sorry for thread hijack!!)

resipsa · 11/05/2015 20:13

Twinks - yes!!! I'm just bring totally crap Smile. A friend sent me a text a month ago and I'm still composing the reply!

TheBananaFaceOfEvil · 11/05/2015 20:15

I'm 5'7 and they were too short on me. So maybe.

MrsCampbellBlack · 11/05/2015 20:18

I am 5 ft and they look great on me - smallest size and I roll the waistband over.

However they are purely 'loungewear' for me.

thriftychicken · 11/05/2015 20:36

Hmm probably a bad idea then thanks . They do look like they have a lot of a cuff at the bottom

OP posts:
MrsCampbellBlack · 11/05/2015 21:14

I roll the cuff up.

MrsCampbellBlack · 11/05/2015 21:15

They are lovely quality and wash well

WicksEnd · 11/05/2015 21:18

Order the cropped version? Nice for summer.

Twinklestar2 · 12/05/2015 08:37

Res come and join us on the conception boards. There's an eggcellent egg buddies reunion thread Wink

Murinea · 12/05/2015 19:59

I'm 5'2 and the length is ok, although the ruched bit does get a bit 'compressed' at the ankle. They're very comfortable and I'd say, for what they are, a very casual trouser - flattering enough!

JudyBlumeRocks · 13/05/2015 15:53

I'm 5'6 and they're too short on me - especially after washing. I have to wear them with the crotch pulled down really low to get enough length. I think they need a bit of volume to look good, otherwise you just look like you're wearing strange, baggy, tapered leggings. If you're going to do the harem thing I think you need to commit to the shape! I lent mine to my mum who's 5'1 and they looked great on her...

Flyinggeese21 · 13/05/2015 16:36

Thank for starting this tread OP. I've been considering them too. They look so comfy but I'm concerned they'll be not too flattering from behind. V. thin looking material, lovely style though.

mowglik · 13/05/2015 17:02

I love harems of all kinds (trousers that is!) and the hush pair are perfect on me. I am 5'3

there is a free delivery and free returns code at the moment so you could always try them and return if they don't suit you

Coastingit · 13/05/2015 17:46

I have some - they're a nice thick jersey in a generous cut, which I think makes a big difference. I'm 5' 6" and they're fine on me, I wear them lowish on the hips though. I don't wear them in the winter as can't work out how to style them, but love them in summer with a vest and sandals.

PerfectlyChaotic · 15/05/2015 06:58

Having this exact dilemma... 5'1 size 8. Did you buy them OP? Might try them whilst free returns...quite £££ if they end up to be something I won't wear out of the house. DH hates this style but what would he know?!?

MarniRose · 15/05/2015 07:03

I have them in all three colours and I'm 5 FT 3. They fit fine

PerfectlyChaotic · 15/05/2015 12:39

Thanks...think I'll try them

aniceearlynight · 15/05/2015 14:10

I love the Hush ones and I'm 5'3. Also recommend Next tapered jersey trousers which are a lot cheaper:

PerfectlyChaotic · 15/05/2015 16:37

Have ordered the Hush ones, hurray! Hope the 2" won't make too much difference ??. I tried some of the Next ones a while ago but they clung oddly to my lower leg...
