Not looking forward to another summer sweltering in jeans and boots.

I have ridiculous feet that won't stay in shoes :/

My instep and arches are stupidly high, so when I put shoes on them, I'm not actually wearing them; they just fall off when I walk.

So, I wear boots or low tops all year round. And I'm sick of them.

I don't even know what's about, as I mostly buy my stuff from eBay/ charity shops.

I've looked online and am seeing wedges, clogs, jelly sandals. Shoes made of string, raffia, sponge, jelly stuff and look, to me, like what my dad wore when she was in to the Spice Girls.

What the heck can I put on my stupid feet? I like heels and wedges, wood and leather, but they need to be pretty much tied/strapped to my feet/ankles. Oh, and they can't be too rigid, as they crush the bones on the top of my foot.

Oh and if that wasn't enough they're size 4 1/2 - 5, btw, and I'm 5'8. So, freakishly small, to boot Confused

Pleeeeease find me some footwear!

Would Saltwaters work for you? They come in silver and gold for a more pretty and glamorous look. www.salt-watersandals.com/salt-water/original-gold-women.html
They look nicer on than this picture suggests.

Here they are on a person - shinybrite.wordpress.com/2010/04/15/i-love-my-salt-water-sandals/

My feet are like yours, OP. I hadn't actually made the connection between the high arches and my complete inability to keep mules on my feet. I always just wondered how the hell anyone else manages! I just bought the coolest pair of wedge espadrilles though- really, really comfy even though they're quite high. I'll go and find a link.

Ooh, I love both of them - thank you.
And they only cost about the same as Vans do in TKMaxx.

I'm just so fed up buying my stuff from the skate shop, at forty-bloody-five, but am nowhere near ready to be buying sandals from the back pages of the Sunday supplement!

Ugh (yes, I know!) have some surprisingly nice sandals, too. Presumably, they're comfortable, too. Is that the point of Uggs? Like Birkenstocks? Ugh, I'm so out of touch! Blush

So far, I've ordered

and these

Have given up worrying about whether they're 'dated' or not, and just gone with what I like, can afford and might just be able to walk in!
Thanx all :)
