Cross Strapped Bra Issues

I want to hide my bra straps under a sleeveless tee shirt. I don't want to try strapless!

So, I found an old bra with detachable straps and simply crossed them over, to take them off my visible shoulders. What agony! My neck was cut raw.

Then I tried a normal bra using a plastic buckle to hold my straps together across my back. But I couldn't really lengthen my straps enough, and the buckle was almost impossible to adjust. And I felt trussed up like a chicken.

Also, the bra strap cross tension meant that I had to go to my tightest set of hooks to keep my band tight, and again, bra agony!

Finally, I tried clear bra straps, but these clinged to my back like superglue.

I had this issue a couple of months ago, before going on holiday. I ended up getting two Panache bras from Bravissimo which have straps that detach in the back so they can be criss-crossed. I also got a Freya bra with a clip built in so the straps can be pulled together. The Panache bras in particular are incredibly comfortable and i love their versatility.

I tried one of those plastic clip things. It held for a second before pinging off across the room. Seemed like a health hazard.

Marisota racer back bra or a top shop one if you don't need any support!
