I have just received my Lotta from Stockholm clogs (in red) and I absolutely LOVE them! I would never have come across them if it hadn't been for MN and wonder what other gorgeous things have been bought thanks to the Style and beauty gurus and whether they were as good as you hoped?

Pleeeeeease? I'm outside super drug now - can someone tell me which nip + fab to get? Toner pads? Is ursine thing acidicy?

Ohanarama · 11/05/2015 15:44

I came on to mention the Men's L'Oréal Elvive anti-dandruff shampoo but see it's already been mentioned. Amazing stuff, changed my life with one wash, took literally all the dandruff away. Last week I ran out and used a bottle of head and shoulders from my cupboard and it immediately came back and my head's soooo itchy, have got some more Elvive on the way home from work and can't wait to use it

mandy214 · 11/05/2015 16:11

I am possibly a bit late to the party but I have a kind of layered bob, thick hair, sometimes flick the ends out if you see what I mean. Would a BBH be good? I'm fairly good at blow drying my hair when i can be bothered but can't afford to buy it if its not going to make any difference and then sit at the back of my cupboard.

Any advice from people who say its been life changing?

Preminstreltension · 11/05/2015 16:18

I bought a Parlux after advice on here and it's, well, it's a hairdryer. An expensive, heavy hairdryer. I don't get the gushing about it.

ggirl · 11/05/2015 16:42

mandy- I love my BBH , I have thick but fine chin length bob , I use it after rough drying my hair and blasting the roots with my fab paralux dryer (sorry preminstreltension i love mine )
I use my BBH to make messy curls , holding the BBH vertically and curling the hair ,so quick and easy

mandy214 · 11/05/2015 16:58

Will investigate Thanks

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 11/05/2015 17:17

Anyone who thinks the Parlux is 'just a hairdryer' clearly has no hair issues what so ever Grin it has transformed my hair after years of being a frizzy mess, absolutely brilliant!

MrsUltracrepidarian · 11/05/2015 17:20

clearly has no hair issues what so ever
oooh, I missed this!
I definitely have had frizz issues all my life.
(Recently found by leaving in conditioner that it is supposed to be rinsed out - it dries to shiny curls...
All those years I wasted Sad

QueenBean · 11/05/2015 18:19

Ooh.... Can we hear more about the parlux please?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 11/05/2015 18:28

Queen -

Parlux is really fast and whooshes out so much air that other driers look pathetic in comparison.

You don't need an ionic, fancy one , just the compact ( name is deceiving as it's full size and one the salons use)

I have thick really frizzy , disobedient hair and I can get it all dried properly using a barrel brush in about ten mins instead of 20 mins + using my old Toni and Guy one.

I forget how crap normal driers are until I go away and don't take my Parlux with me and I have to walk around with crap hair Grin

Aveda black malva conditioner to get brassy red tones out of my brunette hair;

Plumful MAC lipstick

Pudgy Peony Clinique chubby stick

And I'm sure lots of other things I've forgotten about...

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/05/2015 16:54

Tiz - I have tennis elbows and manage ok, I find it lighter than my old Toni and guy one but it's not super light iykwim. I have the basic compact 360 ( or something...Confused) I'll see if I can do a link.

This is mine and that's a really good price, I think I paid £55 for mine and I think I've had mine at least 2 -3 years.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/05/2015 16:59

There seems to be a tenner off that as well with the code on the website. I've never ordered from them before so can't vouch for them.

That's a fab price Dame, I paid a lot more for mine (same model) but.worth.every.penny Smile

damepeanutbutter · 14/05/2015 13:13

Another Dame here! Yes Yes to the Microplane Foot thing. NEVER have my heels been so soft. Only need to use it once a week. Bought one for a friend too because I just had to share the joy.

Eyebrow razor. I use it on my moustache the hair on my upper lip - keeps it in check.

yazzy85 · 15/05/2015 10:28

Just bought the Bourjous CC after seeing it recommended on this thread, it's really great! I normally wear the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser but this will be a cheaper substitute for everyday wear.

seamistbythesea · 16/05/2015 08:22

Great thread. Is the Parlux more for very thick hair? My hair is fine and bleached and kind of frizzy/wispy if I just blow dry it... wondered if it would be any good at controlling this?

Going to try the Bourjous CC cream :)

seamistbythesea · 16/05/2015 08:43

Also the Babyliss Big Hair - which one - there seems to be a few different ones?

Dreams of nice hair.....

Germgirl · 16/05/2015 17:15

Omg! That foot plane! I ordered it last week & it arrived while I was in hospital. I've just tried it. It's amazing! Highly recommended.
