Not sure if this is style and beauty or not! I am running the Manchester 10k on Sunday. Ive heard its going to be warmish, 16'c, I have 3/4 length running shorts and always get so hog in them. I have bought a pair of proper shorts, but feel abit self conscious not got the best thighs!!!

What do you wear when running in the sun?

Short lightweight running shorts. I've tried various, but alwayd go back to the £5 Reebok ones I bought 10 years ago.

I'm not slim, but I'm not self conscious. In an event as big as Manchester 10k, no one will be looking at you. I don't look at and criticise other runners, I don' think anyone does. I'd think you a little silly for turning up in winter kit on a summery day though.

Shorts definitely! Lots of other runners will be wearing them too. It would be unpleasant to be too warm, you will enjoy your race much more if you're wearing the right kit.. Good luck!

Lol hog!! Yeah I no no one will be looking at me really, just a self confidence thing. Well ive got shorts, karrimor ones, just need to road test them, as I had cycling shorts on the other week which I thought woukd be fine, spend the whole run pulling them out of my bum!!! Oops
