Where on earth would I get a prom dress for my dd that's not £100 and not some horrific polyester creation?!

TK Maxx? House of Fraser?

My Dd3 got a £30 dress from Boohoo or MissGuided (prob polyester though)

Ultra-awkward dd2 managed to find a v plain and simple black one in Oasis for hers. It cost about £35 in the sale and was perfect for her (may well have been polyester but was v nice).

Is there an outlet village near you? York has a good coast outlet shop in it and the swishy frocks are about £50?

Nonotthatagain · 08/05/2015 11:33

We got my DD's from Lindy Bop it was under £30. And the Coast outlet shop isn't at McArthur Glen York any more as that was 1st place we went to look.

Saw a few on asos.

What sort of style?

dexter73 · 09/05/2015 11:58

Quiz was a popular choice when my dd had her prom. Not a natural fibre in sight though I'm afraid!

Lolimax · 09/05/2015 12:05

If she's happy to wear second hand there are loads for sale on buy and sell sites on Facebook etc.... I've seen some which are lovely.

BluebellBean · 09/05/2015 18:43

Suspect I'm being a bit snobby re the polyester!! eBay good idea.

DD tried on some in debehams that were about £50, but ended up ordering online.
