Going to a wedding, need advice & opinons

Hi everybody

In a week and a half, I'm going to a colleague's wedding reception.

All weddings I've been to in my adult life, I have been bridesmaid, so not had to worry about what to wear.

However, I'd really like to wear a stylish, classic looking shirt and tie combo (perhaps a blazer too), but my problem is trousers. As much as I'd love to wear some smart looking jeans, I tend to get chub rub on my thighs.

Can anyone recommend what sort of smart-casual trousers that are not going to break the bank? Pockets are a big plus, I don't do handbags.

Currently, I wear leggings with a basic linen skirt (a la the basics section in H&M) with a hoody for pocket reasons, which is why I'm not too sure on what trousers to wear.

Thanks in advance Grin

Tailored crop trousers?

That's a great idea thank you. Unfortunately they don't have my size, but gives me an idea of what to look for Grin
