What colour scarves for my colouring?

I love scarves and have quite a few but I never know what colours to go for!

I have quite a few with blue shades but I think they look a bit drab.

I have very fair skin, dark hair and brown eyes. I've never had my colours done but I am guessing I'm a 'winter'...?

Should I go for brighter colours, reds, pinks etc?

Fuchsia pink, magenta, cobalt blue, emerald green, light grey. Try some of those. I have your colouring and im a sultry winter.

Go to a department store and try a bunch of scarves! This is how someone actually gets their colours "done" - by holding up swatches of colour to their face. Of course, that means using solid colours but you can get the same results just by trying lots of scarves by your face and noting which ones work well.

I bought a gorgeous magenta pashmina-shape scarf from Laura Ashley in the sale for £16 last week.
