do I need to use that silver/purple shampoo? My hair is prone to getting warmer the longer the colour has been on. I def dont want any warmth

Aveda black malva is good. It's not that it gets warmer, it's that the dye leaches out. I struggle big time with this problem! My hair is 70% grey.

use provoke a touch of silver twice a week, its by far the cheapest of the purple shampoos and i find it works well on my ash blonde hair in keeping the colour cool rather than ginger-ish.

Yes to black malva. I found the purple shampoos did nothing for the colour but made my hair feel like straw. I use black malva every week when the initial colour starts looking warm.

thanks for the rep;ies. I think Malva might be too dark. I'm aiming for light ash brown poss with ash blonde foils in the future. Do Aveda do a lighter version?
