I might try those as I am very short waisted too. I usually get 34" trousers so I might get the tall and the regular.

cardoon · 30/04/2015 16:30

Ahh, my favourite slim cropped trousers are the old style, on sale but not in my size. Are the 3% elastane ones as good?

BadgersArse · 30/04/2015 16:36

I presume so. You're an elastane expert !!

Why the deck do every single pair of trousers have pockets on the hips?!
I can't wear them, need flat front, no hip pockets.
Can never be found.

BadgersArse · 30/04/2015 17:50

These aren't really pockets. Plus I think might even be loosely stitched shut

Ladies, I do feel we need colour in the summer, we spend all winter looking grey, which is why I go for BHS in the summer for cropped trousers I am just so fed up by then of black/grey. I am now off to spend some money I may be a while Grin

I farking LOVE coloured trousers.

Almost too much.

BadgersArse · 30/04/2015 19:30

OP posts:
dexter73 · 30/04/2015 19:31

I like coloured trousers too (probably because I was a sloane in the 80's!).

SqueezyCheeseWeasel · 30/04/2015 19:35

LOOKATMYFUCKINGREDTROUSERS

I am a lady version

lurkingaround · 30/04/2015 21:38

Sew the pockets closed? I hate these slanty pockets (add inches to my ample bum and thighs) but Gap have a few styles of trews I like and all have slanty pockets. I buy them anyway and sew closed the pockets. Perfecto.
These crops aren't bad on my pear shape.

For whoever asked about the Boden Chelsea: by comparison the Gap ones are more fitted, less high of a rise and more cropped. Somehow the Gap ones look more modern. I qualify that by saying I'm not all that keen on the Chelsea.

RingtheBells · 30/04/2015 21:45

I have got some of the BHS cotton ones they are really comfy, I like to put them on when I get home from work as they are really casual. The sizes do vary a bit between the colours though. I like the look of the GAP ones but they look a big dressier and would be suitable for work.

BadgersArse · 30/04/2015 21:49

the BHS ones are fugly. Sorry

I love these and they are my work staple. However, I do a Jennifer Aniston & get the pockets removed.

BadgersArse · 01/05/2015 05:50

The pockets have never been an issue for me. Do you mean get the fabric inside the trousers taken out?

OP posts:
Runningupthathill82 · 01/05/2015 05:56

I've got these Gap trousers. They are perfect for work; keep their shape, feel and look great. I got some Next ones at the same time, and in the same timescale they've sagged and stretched and now can't be worn at all.

The Gap ones are a great buy. Go a size down though.

Those bhs ones are hideous.

BadgersArse · 01/05/2015 06:50

Agree to err on the small. Although not as bad as one pair years ago where I had to go down two

OP posts:
ParkingFred · 01/05/2015 22:34

Yes, I get my mum (handy with a sewing machine) to remove them from the inside, also do this with skinny jeans.

I read an interview with Jennifer Aniston recently and she said she does the same! So I feel vindicated, or possibly batshit crazy - haven't decided.

I also size down and agree the BHS ones are horreur.

pinkbadger · 02/05/2015 09:00

My favourite trousers too! I was only trying on my 'collection' last night with some new tops. I have navy but not true indigo I might give them a try and also replace my black pair that I love with a passion. Agree size down only one size. I am 5' 10" and wear the UK 8Tall (US 4).

Pockets are often sewn up and if not I sew them up and maybe remove the pockets from the inside if they are visible. It's easy and quick with a sewing machine. I never see the point of functioning pockets in very fitted trousers. Yes as a styling thing but not to actually put anything in - especially in white trousers. One of my pet hates.

Stevie77 · 02/05/2015 09:43

Perfect, have added them to my US shopping list (must open thread about that)

BadgersArse · 02/05/2015 11:03

you pocket fetishists

i just leave them
sewn up

Maybe I wear my trousers too tight but I hate rumpled square patches visible on my bum!
