Acetate lining - ok for warm weather?

I bought this Mango skirt hoping to wear it during the day on holiday in Italy in June. I didn't notice it was lined.

The lining is acetate - I googled and apparently although it's synthetic it's breathable.. Will this be ok to wear in temperatures of lowish-20 degrees? Don't want it to feel sticky and uncomfortable.. I like the skirt but it would be slightly too transparent without the lining..

TIA Flowers

No, imo acetate is horrible to wear in a hotclimate.

I used to live in hot countries for over 10 years, and if it is warm (25 or over) any polyester or acetate lining will cling to you and make you hot and sticky.

Tights a no-no too

Silk is breathable, and smart. If you can find it.

Cotton/linen and viscose/rayon are good too

Agreed. Acetate is very sweaty.

Aargh!! Thanks for that.

I ordered the skirt because it was linen, didn't notice the lining. Hoped when websites said acetate was breathable it might be ok.. Oh well, back it goes..

Thank you!
