Do I want make up or skin care?

I'm forty at the weekend and my lovely partner is giving me money to go to town and spend. I want to sort my skin.

I have small broken veins on the apple of my cheeks and I have a bit of redness too. My skin is naturally dry too.

I'd like to cover it. Which counter is best for this kind of issue PLS.

To cover it I'd use Estée Lauder or Cliniques new foundation. If it's skin are you need try Clarins. Go to them and try to get samples etc

Agree with GingerLDN. I have redness around my cheeks too and Estee Lauder Double Wear sorts it. I've also revamped my skincare regime so gone are the face wipes and in comes a double hot cloth cleansing routine using the Emma Hardie balm, a REN cleansing milk and a good old flannel!

I like double wear but it's very drying on my skin and the coverage is a bit much for the daytime. I have just discovered bare minerals a quick sweep of their powder foundation and it's nice coverage but doesn't feel like your wearing any at all. Plus I'm lazy and it's quicker and I don't get foundation all over my hands and towels. For the cream maybe go into a debenhams or boots and try out some samples? I like facial oils at the minute. Seem nice and hydrating for my uncomfortably dry skin.

I used Double wear when I was younger. I find it too heavy. I'd like a nice barely there look.
