Urban decay primer potion

I feel like I'm starting so many threads lol.
I've been using urban decay eye primer and I think it's making my eyes sore, has anyone else had this experience? Also I noticed in the ingredients it "may contain" bismuth oxychloride which is a known irritant.
I like to use it on my eyelids tho as my lids get really oily and my eyes start stinging throughout the day and this helps stop the oiliness! Are there any good alternatives??

Yes, the same here. It makes my eyelids feel super thick and a bit sore. I also have an Artdeco eye primer that is not irritating. Lily Lolo is brilliant for bismuth-free makeup.

I don't need eye primer with many eye shadows, so worth also checking if you get better wearing time from a different eye shadow.

I don't really wear eyeshadow much tbh it was more to stop my lids becoming oily and running into my eyes making them sore.
Fed up wasting money grrrr! I've not heard of Artdeco.

I have super oily lids. I've just started using the Nars eye primer and it's amazing.

FrugalFashionista · 27/04/2015 20:59

Artdeco here - haven't tried the Nars e/s primer but love their eye shadows and do not need primer with them. Have a handful of different Nars products and am not allergic to any of them.

Indecisivejo · 28/04/2015 06:45

Arrrrrrrrrrrrgh Artdeco has fragrance in it!!!! Why why why!!! Especially in an eye product Angry
Will look at nars one next time I'm in bluewater, don't have a nars counter in my local shopping centre.

I just checked the Nars one. It has no fragrance, but does have Bismuth Oxychloride. Sorry Sad

Grrrrrrr see what I mean, whyyyyyy!!! Sad thank you for checking.

I was given a sample of the UD eye primer but haven't used it yet. I have noticed that after applying their Naked shadows my makeup doesn't shift so I didn't need to use it anyway.

Are your eyes better now for not using it?

Elliptic5 · 28/04/2015 08:29

I had a bad reaction to the UD eye primer as well - red, sore, weeping eyes. I returned it and got my money back.
I now use a powder to set my eye make up instead as the UD really put me off eye primers.

Indecisivejo · 28/04/2015 11:16

HellKitty today is the only day I haven't put it on, eyes are still a bit sore today but could still be from the UD, could also be my liner and mascara as I'm yet to find any bloody eye make up that doesn't cause stinging!

Right. Could you possibly have hay fever? I'm not discounting your makeup but I've noticed my eyes have started up with the warm weather. I only started getting it about 5 years ago.

Indecisivejo · 28/04/2015 13:01

Yes I do suffer from hayfever but I've had sore eyes with make up for ages, my lids get oily and that runs into my eyes and makes them sore also Sad
I've also never found an eye make up remover that doesn't burn!

I just use baby oil, takes waterproof right off.

Indecisivejo · 28/04/2015 14:28

Baby oil just one of the MANY things I can't use Hmm

Oh no! Almond oil? Anything natural and oily?

Indecisivejo · 28/04/2015 16:31

It's anything oily that really sets my eyes of tbh, makes my vision blurry for hours and irritated.
