First post on S&B.....need help to find an outfit for a wedding

Okay I need help . I'm going to a wedding at the end of May. It's going to be fairly informal with a BBQ reception afterwards. From what I can gather most of the women I know who are going are going to be wearing summery dresses. I don't usually do dresses but would quite like to for this.
However, I'm 5 foot 4, size 18/20. I'm large of nork but have well fitting bras, no intervention needed.

Any ideas welcome.

do you have calves and ankles you're willing to show off? I adore the Lindy Bop dresses, you can buy them via Nyla Rose, Little Wings Factory, lollipop vintage websites (or just Google Lindy Bop) loads of lovely designs. I can't wear them as I have a cankle issue

Thanks jester will look at those. Can get away with calves/ankles i think. Definitely not knees though .
Forgot to mention I'm 43 and my best colours are purples, greens, blues. Pastel colours do nothing for my grey hair!
