Do smart round toed flats suitable for dresses exist?

Love wearing flip flops and birkenstock type sandles in the summer but now in a different job and wearing dresses. Bought a pair of stylish loafers to wear with a dress but they are too pointy and spent the day going around shoeless which was rather frowned upon.

Just can't do heels over an inch - can't walk properly and it looks ridiculous without defined ankles. Was wondering about these but they look too pointy

Has anyone seen anything similarish that might work?

I love Tory Burch flats - never wear heels & I find they look really smart for occasions where I need to be dressed up. They are a bit pricey but fab quality & really comfy.

A stylish colleague who has just been reduced to practical shoes (rather than heals), and usually wears a dress is currently sporting these

I like the Tamaris ones you linked to.

I wonder, If I'm a half size would I go up or down in a slingback?

Thanks all - might go with the tamaris ones then as the tory burch ones are massively expensive and can probably send them back if they are too pointy and hurt my toes.

I'd go up a size twitchcoco to ge the width and tighten the slingback one notch

I love brogues with dresses, but depends on the sort of dresses you wear really.

I think you need a little bit of a heel. A completely flat pair makes a person walk funny - ok if you're wearing jeans but not so much a dress.
A bit of heel lengthens the leg as well.

I's so difficult to find the right pair.
The shops are either full of shoes that are too high or too flat.

This is the dress I am having probelms finding shoes for which will do for work ie not flip flops or sandles

Gorgeous dress. I love the slingback idea. I bought a thin monsoon dress, the Claudia one and had your dilemma too. I ended up in black patent kitten heel slingbacks and loved the look. I added a shrug too.

Flats are much, much healthier for our joints, back and "core".

Ballerina style slip-ons are everywhere, for example.

That's a summer dress: are all sandals banned or could you get away with one that covers a fair bit or a peep toe type flat?

Lovely dress and I think some nude, pale pink or tan brogues would work well with it.
