I'm an Aveda product hoarder but went for this range half price in Superdrug - intention being I will dry my hair naturally more now it's summer ha!
Thing is my mum said the salt spray would be bad for my hair. Is this true?! And why?

I asked my hairdresser this yesterday as I have curly hair that I salt spray in the summer.

He said its fine to use and won't damage hair.

I can't see why, it just sits on top of the hair. I make my own

Loreal one v bad! Homemade good.

Haven't tried any others, but loreal just gave me lots of fly away. If you have fine hair like me and CBA to make your own, I found dry shampoo v similar. It was like aveda dry hair powder but worked all over, not just root lift IYSWIM.

I've got the Aveda abundance powder - I'm wondering if the cheaper ones have something in them. I'm really try to look after my hair so I can grow it longer and the ends are bleached.

I tried the powder in a bright pink container (lee shepherd maybe) and it left my hair more 'sticky' than the aveda one, but gave me lift if that helps?
