Leggings - recommendations

Not a TAAT but a "where do you buy" thread!

I often wear leggings with tunics in the summer. I'm short (and round and fifty) and the average tunic makes a short dress for me, but too short for an old woman with large white/blue legs. My legs don't tan and I'm bored senseless of the fake tan shizz.

I need cropped grey leggings in a size 16 or 18. I don't really mind if they are expensive as I look after my casual clothes and I'm currently living in the dying threads of a pair of White Stuff leggings I bought about five years ago. There is not much lycra left in that waist band I can tell you Wink.

But all the crops I've seen so far are white, navy or black. Grey is much better for my fair colouring. White or black just highlight the whiteblueness of my legs, and navy's not much better. It's OK in the rain, but when the sun is out? No!

I'm not an inventive or trendy shopper, so please help me. You may think it's an obvious link, but I may never have thought of it.

American apparel every time. Don't like much of the rest of the stuff they do, but their leggings are great. All sorts of colours. Last ages. Sorry I can't do a link, but rubbish at posting on the iPad...

these are the best leggings I have ever worn.

Those aren't cropped though, but they do have cropped if you have a look through.

The waist band is really comfortable & doesn't ride up, the leggings stay up, don't knee, and wash really well.

Artura no AA cropped in grey, although great colours in normal. I'm not 5'3" so normal leggings wrinkle at the ankle and I'm hoping for a more summery look this year.

chocolateyy that waist looks great! But no cropped grey .
