Is this a Joke, Boden?

Just having a look at Boden Autumn Preview.

Pretty much underwhelmed so far, but fascinated by this extraordinary object:

Can't work it out at all and am wondering if I'm looking at it the wrong way up or something. Or is it a joke? Or does it reflect the latest fashion trend for ? , which I just happened to have missed?

If I were going to pay £129 for a bag, I think I would want one which wasn't a joke that would wear thin after the first couple of minutes.

Like most fashion its a high street interpretation of the cartoony stuff some of the designers have been coming up with. Have you seen the Anya Hindmarch bags ? She's gone all pop art too.
I hate it.

Oh yes now you mention it I did see those 'fun' ones with 'amusing' facesetc. Expensive joke IMO. As naff as worst of Cath Kidston. Think I'd prefer to stick to the plain AH Maxi Zip.

That Anya Hindmarsh one looks like the front of one of my old school folders. The price is just taking the piss.

The Boden ones are cute for a small child but not at that price.
