Help woke this morning and think I'm getting a cold sore!

I have a wedding to go to next Friday and really don't want a huge scan on my face

Is there anything I can do to stop/heal it fast?

I use something called liquorice balm from a company called The Skin Shop and it is the best £10 I have ever spent! I haven't used anything else in about 8 years

Definately llysine ! 1 every day and up it to 3 or 4 at the first tingle ! Swear by it ! Not had one for over a year and stopped a few in their tracks , after having one nearly take over my face nd having to have a plaster stuck over my top lip to hide the hideous thing at the start of a new term and meeting new parents I never want to experience the embarrassment or the pain again ! Also use the llysine lip balm (Holland and barett)
I don't advise Zovirax , I'm sure the virus just moves on to next place to erupt ! It does on me and I end up with a lip full !

My GP prescribed Valtrex tablets. He said they are commonly prescribed in Australia , but GPs here tend not to as they are deemed expensive. I found them very effective. Mandy, if you get cold sores that often, maybe worth asking.
