Reccuring whiteheads on chin area..

gotredonyou · 23/04/2015 14:03

I have sensitive combination skin I think Dry patches/redness on my cheeks, oiliness on my hairline, nose & chin. All of this I keep under control with daily cleansing/exfoliating and using an oil free moisturiser.

Lately I've been getting one or two large white heads on the left side of my chin (strangely the right side is clear) Just when I think they are finally disappearing, I wake up and one has reappeared in exactly the same place. HELP please :)

Hot flannel and a sterilised needle- have funWinkGrin

Try hot cloth cleansing?

Thanks Dame Tried that- It ends up seeping pus (tmi?) which turns into a scab. I then exfoliate the next day, apply cold compress/aloe gel which really calms it...then later that day a white head appears again!!? I've even left it for a week but I ended up getting 2 or 3 in the same area so I had to pop them all Angry

Have you tried something like TCP?

gotredonyou · 23/04/2015 15:52

Nope, thought that might be a little harsh on my already sensitive skin? Would you recommend? I have tried sudacrem/savlon which dried the area out but then yet again a day later the whitehead came back. I swear its playing a game with me Grin

I have super sensitive skin and have used TCP, a minute bit on a cotton bud, just dab it on before bed as it stinks obviously not if you're on a promiseWink

Thanks I'll give it a go! I came to bed the other night with my hair on the top of my head and my face smeared in Sudacrem. DP's first words we're - 'doggy tonight then' Shock Wink

Could it be an in growing hair? Do you depilate in that area- waxing and threading give me spots on my moustache!

Tea Tree oil works so well for this type of thing.
i get them down the side of my nose and you can't get to them unless you use cotton buds and tt.

Are you using mineral oil, Shea butter also called b something parkii or lots of silicones.
I have similar skin to you Nd these cause whiteheads for me.
