Weird little bumps on face?

Hi Has anyone any idea why I seem to have developed weird small bumps on part of my face? They seem to be on the sides of my face above my jawline. Just small raised bumps, slightly red, not itchy or anything, just feel a bit odd and are noticeable.
My cleansing routine is pretty basic - Dove unscented soap followed by Protect and Perfect moisturiser. They seem slightly better in the morning than evening, but not a lot in it really. I've tried a fine exfoliator, but no improvement so far.
I'm 49, not prone to breakouts/spots or anything like that, so just wondered if any one had any ideas what I can do. Should I try different cleanser?

It's more likely to be the moisturiser I think as that sits on the skin.

Any change of other products? Make-up or anything?

No, I usually use Bourjois healthy mix serum, but I've used it for a while so nothing new

I think it might be keratosis pilaris, I have a little in the areas you mention. I'm having quite a bit of success with this toner

I've had these recently and bought FAB radiance pads which are sorting it out. My skin hates the change in seasons. If you wear base make up at all then soap isn't a good enough cleanser and you might have blocked pores. A cream cleanser removed with a flannel might help.

Ok thanks, that's helpful. I've just googled it and it suggests avoid soap, so maybe I need to try a cleanser instead (another minefield looms!)

I can't use P and P, it broke me out in all sorts of weirdy skin things.

Acid toner like the FAB Radiance pads, they will soon be gone.

I used to use Dermalogica and switched to Dove unscented and its been fine, but it sounds like I need something different. I might try the Superdrug hot cloth cleanser? I'm loath to get back into spending absolutely loads on products unless I have to!
