Grease on leather sandals aaargh!!

Ok i know this was a stupid thing to do but i wore sandals with leather uppers in the kitchen and splashed some greasy pesto on them (see horrifying photo attached!)
Is there anything i can do to salvage? All suggestions gratefully received!

I got grease out of a leather suede handbag with dry cleaning spray.

Apparently it's best to shake talc over it as fast as possible top absorb the oil.

I got grease out of my uggs by spraying on dry shampoo spray!

Put a layer of kitchen towel over it and then lay a hot water bottle on top. Repeat until it goes.

Chalk or talc rubbed in and brushed off, repeat, and repeat.
