Skirted Trench Coat

I find this very beautiful but I don't know if I should let it go. I have a columar/straight size body shape, UK12-14.

What do you think?

It does not look good belted on me. Open, it's ok, but it's not as cute as compared to the picture.

Yes, particularly if you are leggy. I'm your shape and that style is terrific on me - people stop me on the street when I am wearing a skirted trench.

Sorry, missed the belted part. That's the problem with being a column - no waist. If it does not look good without a belt or if you can't alter the belt to be closed with a simple buckle or popper (the bow is problematic on me, difficult to tye without adding bulk), let it go. It is not really meant to be worn open. Belts are generally a total no-no for me, but full skirts often create an illusion of curves, so that's why it could work.

I think it's lovely,, and I am a carrot. Belted trench coats look nicer on me if I arrange the folds so more of the material is round the back.

Where is it from, and does it come in black - I'm desperate for a nice black trench after losing the belt to my old one on the way to work ( I think someone sat on it on the train, and I didn't notice it slide out when I got up).

OneHandFlapping - It's from Forever New (Australian brand), Spring 2014. It only came in navy and raspberry - I've sold the raspberry (which was more of a warm pink and clashed with my skintone) and contemplating selling this navy because it kind emphasise my lack of waist. I found similar while browsing ASOS.

Skater-type dresses look great on me too, FrugalFashionista. This one doesn't. I guess because the belt emphasises my body shape too much.
