Has anyone bought anything from Chesca please? What's their sizing like?

I've seen a dress but don't know what size to buy, their chart looks as if the dresses might come up a bit big?

£235 for a 100% polyester dress?????.

Shock Nope.

RadioSplash · 22/04/2015 10:44

Not that Expensive!!!!

Dress

And I've got some John Lewis vouchers.

I'm tall and it's so hard to find a smart dress that isn't flashing my arse to everyone!

It's still very expensive for polyester. And the dress in your link is very unflattering on the model.

I think you can do much better for that ££. If you list what you're after S&B will get you sorted Grin .

I want something for a formal day time function, lunch, drinks etc.
Needs to have some black in it as I already have the accessories!

I'm 5'11" size 20/22 with broad shoulders, average bust and reasonable legs.

Would really like to spend less than £100.

I rather like it. It looks a bit Westwood. Not sure of quality though. Sorry.

Pantsalive · 22/04/2015 11:20

Sorry, sizing, not quality, I don't know what either are like.
Just ignore me. wanders off

I'm also tall and have found, the few times I've looked at Chesca things in RL, they're much too short in the body for me. Also think the quality in RL looked a bit tacky.

RadioSplash · 22/04/2015 11:55

Poly I've looked at Chesca and thought they were a bit frilly in the past! I don't often have the need for anything other than jeans and shirts.

I might send off for it and see what it looks like in the flesh.

Yes agree - things I've seen have been way too fussy. But tbh I haven't looked for years.

If you order it to check out there's nothing to lose as it's easily returned.

The Chesca dress has arrived. I'm very pleased with it, quite flattering on and not to short.

Now I need shoes!

I like the dress, think it'd look good, especially the neckline. Chesca is normally cut flatteringly.

I'm liking some Boden shoes this summer, they're a bit pricey though, a 20-25% voucher is essential. these might be good with your dress.

polyhymnia · 25/04/2015 14:50

Does it come to your knee?

RadioSplash · 25/04/2015 22:30

It's just on my knee, a good length!

Gorgeous shoes Chewbecca, but a bit too high for me! Not sure I could balance on those heels either.
