I think I've spent so long looking for a pair of trainers that I've now got no idea what I like any more!

I'm looking for day-to-day wear, not sports use and something that is 'fashionable'.
Do New Balance fit the bill? I haven't got a clue anymore!

Thanks in advance!

New Balance currently v popular, but I looked ridiculous in them.

aprilmay · 21/04/2015 21:05

Thanks Remus. I live in Converse at the mo but fancy a change!

Adidas ones are nice. The old style ones with the shell toes are making a comeback!

aprilmay · 21/04/2015 21:33

I wore those in the 90s/00s I think Allie - I'm getting old! Grin

Haha! Me too, still like them though...wishing i hadn't binned them now, they are about £80 now! Lol

sleepwhenidie · 21/04/2015 21:39

It's funny isn't it, I look ridiculous in Converse but very happy with NB, I have a cream pair with a tiny bit of silver detail around the NB and love them.

imjustahead · 21/04/2015 21:41

I've always worn the Adidas superstars, or shell toes. Just love them.

aprilmay · 21/04/2015 21:44

What do you wear them with imjustahead?

Cream NB sound lovely sleepwhenidie. What do you wear them with?

Allie82, what are shell toes? Ta

Hi ones like this:

Trainers
Annarose2014 · 21/04/2015 22:22

I'm getting even more confused in my trainer search cos I want ones with a proper comfy sole - I've realised that Converse kill my feet as they're too flat.

What I really want is Skechers Shape Up type things, except without the massively ugly sole. Something that literally bounce around in for 10 hours a day.

I really don't think they exist though! Sad

sleepwhenidie · 21/04/2015 23:16

I wear mine mostly with slim boyfriend jeans, just been on hols and wore them with denim cut offs but would also wear with casual dresses, particularly sporty ones these are them

sleepwhenidie · 21/04/2015 23:17

I'm also planning on buying white cigarette jeans from Zara to wear with off white sweater and the NB's.

sleepwhenidie · 21/04/2015 23:19

Anna I find converse uncomfortably flat too. And Supergas seem to come up big on me, or too small if I size down painful memories of thinking they'd be fine. NB's very comfy though.

yazzy85 · 21/04/2015 23:27

Have a look at new balance, puma suede, adidas gazelle, adidas stan smith, nike pegasus 83...all of the retro styles are really in at the moment

Financeprincess · 22/04/2015 00:15

I just got some Onitsuka Tiger trainers. Purple and lime green, retro style and bouncy! I love them.

But New Balance are also nice.

sleepwhenidie · 22/04/2015 07:03

They sound nice Finance...I am also coveting these as a complete alternative to cream NB's!

bigfatfeet · 22/04/2015 07:08

Those are AMAZING! I have rheumatoid arthritis which affects my feet so wear trainers pretty much all the time. IME, Nike and New Balance are the most comfortable and supportive - can't wear Converse at all.

LeoandBoosmum · 22/04/2015 15:11

Allie82... I should, but I don't remember them at all :S

Bonsoir · 22/04/2015 15:24

I wore these:

all winter. They are dead now but I love them!

aprilmay · 22/04/2015 21:57

Love those Bonsoir.

Sleep - I love those but they would need a complete image overhaul for me!

I'm leaning towards New Balance (back where I started!) I like the cream or navy with pink. But then burgundy too! Decisions decisions.
