Menopausal skin meltdown

I'm 53 and my last period was over a year ago so must have reached menopause. Lately though my skin is just terrible. I have more spots than my 13 year old son. I've got about 6 at the moment. They just come out of nowhere, no warning signs like I remember having when I was younger. They are mainly around my nose and mouth, and even have one at the edge of each nostril. Nice. They are small and red, except the one on my chin which is mahoosive. Please help me. Anyone else had/having this problem? Any recommended treatments? Trying to age with dignity here.

I hear you sister Grin

Not spotty just dry, sooooo drySad

What is your skin care routine like atm?

Losingmyreligion · 20/04/2015 22:55

Cleanse, tone and moisturise. First 2 steps with 'Simple' and usually whatever moisturiser I get in Sainsburys. Moisturiser wouldn't be causing spots would it? My skin is also drier now so am using one for 50's+.

It could well be causing spots as could the simple stuff, that burns my face!

Try cleansing with Camomile cleanser from the body shop, it's so gentle, really lovely stuff, you wash it off with a flannel. Worth a try.
