Ash virgin high tops anyone?......are they worth it?

I've been coveting these for about a year now. I'm a converse wearer so I know I would wear these a lot but the price is really way way way beyond my budget.

But recently I'm wondering if I should just splurge and put them on the credit card.

Does anyone have them? Are they worth the price? I'm worried that the material will separate from the sole (the same way as converse do) and I can't afford to buy these unless I know they will last (and last a couple of years!).

Anyone have any opinions?

I'm just about to buy my second pair. I've worn them almost every day for a year and the sole is still attached fine but they are pretty scuffed.
Your link doesn't work for me so can't see what colour you chose but I have them in taupe and am buying in grey now.

Thanks Turks. That sounds promising. I was just going to buy in black (I have linked again).

I think I'd be happy if they lasted a full year of everyday wearing!

Oops.....I can't seem to link them and can't correct my previous two failed attempts

I have had some grey ones for over a year, they scruffed very quickly and the leather is coming away from the sole. To be honest I was a bit disappointed in them, as absolutely loved the style but thought they should be a bit more robust for the money.

I had some bronze coloured ones a few years ago. I absolutely loved them and would buy more if I could afford them. However, like pp said, I was also a bit disappointed with how quick they wore out. The soles felt very thin and the heel wore through. But I think I wore them for over two years with lots of walking.

I have ash genial which is much the same but with a low wedge. The leather so very soft and they're so comfortable. The sole, however, is wearing away very quickly.

Same as above, the sole wears out really quickly and for the price difference, I'd stick to converse, which you can also get in leather if that was what was attracting you.

They are also a bit dated in terms of fashion, which may not bother you, but if it does I'd stick to converse, or I've seen a lot of vans mid-tops about lately.
