How do you store your make up?

Mines all rattling around in a drawer or two of a dressing table. I bought a fab 1920's dressing table a while ago Id never had one before and I love having a place to sit and a store everything. However it's all a bit of a mess within the drawers and I can never find what I want/forget what I have so I can't help think that there might be a better way so I'd love to know what others do.

Mine is currently in my dressing table drawers in ikea tube but I will be getting some acrylic boxes soon to go on top of my chest of drawers. They look nice and store quite a bit.

I have make up in the top drawer of my dressing table, and a make up case for my every day make up, as I use a lot.
second drawer down, all my cleansers.
third drawer down all my serums and moisturisers.
I am aware of my obsession.Grin

Mine is currently in a make up bag on my bathroom windowsill..
Watching with interest as I need to keep it out of DS reach! He's 2.5!

Mine's in a drawer, but I bought a fabulous drawer divider in Clas Ohlsen (like a cutlery tray but deeper) so everything is beautifully organised and I can see what I have.

On the bathroom shelf in Muji acrylic boxes with everything sorted according to product type, lipsticks in one set of compartments, concealer/tinted moisturiser/foundation in another and so on - all visible and grab-able and I can also see just how infrequently I wash my makeup brushes
But do you want to keep it all inside the drawers so as not to spoil the aesthetics of your lovely dressing table? Wasn't sure from the post.

I bought an acrylic storage tray, which sits in my chest of drawers. It has lots of different compartments. Mine is from home bargains, but you can get them from Tk maxx.

I also have some drawer dividers from ikea for extra bits and bobs, which are helpful - I have ikea drawers so they fit perfectly.

I have a few acrylic boxes from Muji, some glass jars with lids for larger items and some glasses/vases for brushes. And some porcelain dishes that have just the right shape and size for MAC eye shadows, blushers and the larger powders.

I have mine in several see through makeup bags, i keep eye stuff together, lip stuff together and have a separate one for everyday staples

I now keep it in a make up bag but I had a desk that I used and I bought the acrylic storage drawer things but removed the drawers and used them side by side as dividers in the shallow desk drawer.

In my make up bag beside the mirror, other "not everyday" make up is in a vanity type bag thing on my dresser...brushes are in their own little case Smile

I bought this trolley from Ikea: m.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/art/30216536/

It means I can keep all my toiletries and bits and pieces (not just makeup) in one place, rather than scattered all over the top of my chest of drawers.

Bottom shelf I keep some stuff that won't fit in the bathroom (Lush products etc).

Middle shelf I keep my jewellery box and my "secondary" makeup bag (which is basically where I keep makeup I don't use regularly).

Then top shelf I have my everyday toiletries (deodorant, hair product etc), hairbrush, and a smaller makeup bag where I keep the products I'd always use if wearing makeup.

Muji acrylic mini drawers and pots. Not too expensive, easy to clean, easy to see everything you have ( and therefore more difficult to justify buying ANOTHER coral nail polish Hmm

I have Ikea pax wardrobes and I use the wicker 9 part divider thing inside a drawer. Separate section for eyes, nails, face, one holds moisturiser, deodorant and perfume and so on.

For you, what about a cutlery tray, could you get one to fit inside your drawer?
Or inside your drawer, what about several different tupperware boxes to fill the whole drawer and then each one has lips/ eyes / nails / face

Really useful storage boxes come in small sizes, and are designed to sit next to and stack onto each other. Really useful buy direct

Mine is in a box that's a bit like a toolbox, three tiers and the top two come out on hinge type things so I can see everything at once.

Then I have a dressing table drawer full of extras that I don't use very often, mostly lots of different lipsticks and eyeshadows.

An 8 drawer storage unit from staples. Pots on top for brushes. Another box on top for stuff I use every day. And palettes under storage unit
