Im inspired by The school run thread and I didn't want to hijack it cos I got told off for doin that before. Hmm

Anyway. Have any of my Plus Sized Mummy compadres found a perfect pull on dress for said purpose. I'm an apple and struggle to find decent dresses.

TIA

What size are you?

What sort of shape/length dress do you want?

Does it have to be cotton?

How about this?

Holy God Tethersend! Ur amazing. I'm a size 20 on top and a 16/18 on bottom soma proper apple shape. I think I like the m and s one. It's very pretty.

Something else which might fit the bill is the Boden casual jersey dress. I have several of these and they're very easy to wear. Also not too pricy.

Sorry can't link as on phone.

I got a very similar one to the asos kimono linked above.

It has just past elbow length batwing sleeves and was an absolute steal at £8 in Asda

I been watching the mums at school today. Some look so well groomed in simple jeans and tops. I never feel well groomed

Pah. Grooming is overrated.

I look sort of like Margot Leadbetter. Margot Leadbetter if she'd got pissed and spent the night in a hedge Grin

mayaknew · 20/04/2015 18:36

Rhyme I feel like that too I think I'm about the same size as you although I prefer 16 jeans to hold my belly in . I feel like no matter what I wear I look a mess and I can never find anything flattering . I love that first Asos dress Smile

Rhymerocket · 20/04/2015 18:44

Aw I love Margot!

I'm almost forty and last year I bought one of those rockabilly dresses off eBay. It was navy polka dot and basic cotton so I wore it to a coffee date and then school run after. This bitch groomed mum asked me was I experimenting with styles, in a fuck me u look a state sort of way. So I haven't worn it since.

Yes perfect plus size dress ... daisyinbloom.uk.....the nautical dress...I really like. It's a new company started by a friend of mine who has struggled to find plus sized things that she likes.

Rockabilly dresses are a horror. She saved you op

sunniest · 01/06/2015 13:15

Have you looked at Seasalt dresses. I'm an apple with big boobs and find their styles quite flattering and even in summer you can find things with sleeves! Their sizes are also really generous, I often size down twice and still feel a bit roomy.
