What are the little things that you do that give you that boost? Mine is usually to paint my nails and straighten my hair but that's just not cutting it any moreSad

Fed up of feeling like a fat grump!

Exercise - boring I know but it really does give me a boost.

Beautifully applied eyeliner (I manage it once in a blue moon!) Preferably with neat and coloured in eyebrows.

Allie82 · 19/04/2015 15:11

Lovely soak in a hot bath, nice bath oil, exfoliate, apply a nice lotion and face mask... Lush!

shadesofwinter · 19/04/2015 16:51

Lipstick! Makes such a difference to how I look.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/04/2015 17:18

Blusher is my biggest 'game changer' makeup-wise. I am deadly pale and it makes me look a little more human.

SummerHouse · 19/04/2015 17:21

Fake tan on my face. I use the lancom face gel. It is so realistic.

Twitchcoco · 19/04/2015 17:23

A home manicure and pedicure cheer me up no end. Clear polish on my hands and fuchsia on my toes. Neat nails, soft skin, tidy cuticles and lashings of L'Occitane hand cream.

full body moisturising after a shower, dont do it anywhere near as much as i should or would like however i did just discover vaseline aerosol moisturiser which did make it much easier!

also nice perfume.

SwedishEdith · 19/04/2015 17:30

For me, dyeing my hair (brings out my eyes, stops me look like I'm fading away) and lipstick (same effect)

burnishedsilver · 19/04/2015 17:34

A touch of fake tan.

EuphemiaCoxton · 19/04/2015 18:41

Doing my hair so I can wear it down. It's usually a brillo pad growing out of my head and unflatteringly restrained with a plain bobble

netty36 · 19/04/2015 20:10

Have to second exercise.
I feel amazing afterwards. Ive onle started this year. Get sweaty then lovely hot shower or steam room at the local leisure centre and you glow all day. That and getting my eyebrows on properly??

Pigleychez · 19/04/2015 21:07

some great ideas, thanks everyone.

Eyebrows is a good one. Ive always wanted my wild bushy brows tamed but too scared it will hurt too much!

Exercise. Well I have Zumba in the morning so that's start :)

I fear it will take more than these though and I might just have to go for the full face lift and tummy tuck!

I wore bright red lipstick last week in the daytime and I'm sure I had more looks from people. I felt overdone but I also thought, maybe I should make a bit more effort with my appearance.

zoebram78 · 19/04/2015 21:41

Exercise, healthy food, no alcohol, a good book, warm bath, a good sleep, talking to friends and family - especially those with problems and helping them. A good tidy up and clear out and buy myself some nice flowers.

SpecificOcean · 19/04/2015 22:09

De-cluttering all the "it will do" stuff from my wardrobe and gradually replacing with things that I love, fit well and flatter.

Twitchcoco · 19/04/2015 22:32

YY specific ocean! Great idea.
