Jersey Blazers - why don't they work for me?

In theory they're the ideal jacket to smarten up my relatively casual look but none of them seem to work on me. They're either too slouchy = frumpy and unflattering, too tailored = look like I'm ready for a board meeting or just gape over my boobs .

Any suggestions for one that could suit me? I'm a 5'2 size 12-14ish hourglass. Or another style of lightweight casual jacket that would be better?

Thanks :)

Maybe that's where I've been going wrong, I always do them up!

Jersey Blazers are a good framer and it's stylish to fold the end of the cuffs . And yes you don't button them up :) and a scarf to accessorise.
Mintvelvet, warehouse, Zara all do some nice jackets/ blazers.

I prefer a military shape jacket atm more flattering if you aren't skinny

I am preferring a dressing gown stle jacket at the moment. This one from H&M drapes so well I am thinking of getting the similar blue one.

Love that

Love that khaki jacket. I'd probably have to lose the belt, but am a big fan of khaki.

I have that one just a bit shorter from last year The longer one looked terrible on me bulky and looked shapeless it's nice colour and material though it's just a thick shirt

ElizabethHoover · 20/04/2015 08:33

hmm,, what size did you get? i think would look nice with white jeans/shorts/tee

Greenstone · 20/04/2015 08:34

Love that unique one.

I have a heavy cotton one from Whistles which was half price in sale last year possibly due to colour (kind of royal blue but nice). They have a nice looking stripe one atm but I guess it may be tricky to wear without looking wide.

Love blazers (never do up!) But hate polyester chill of cheap versions so am all about the cotton or wool ones to structure my look while being a functional layer.

Uniqlo

noddyholder · 20/04/2015 09:04

I have the medium but its a totally different shape. I probably tried the medium on. I mainly wear it with black skinnies black t shirt and tan heels. Its like a shirt from the army surplus store I was too busty for it.

The black finery dress came and is great on. I just need a jacket!!I still have all last summers clothes that are still newish I didn't wear many
