I want a new day cream.

I am 34 with normal to dry skin which seems to drink up any moisturiser I put on so I want something nourishing. No acne or wrinkles or any other skin issues.

I dont like floral scents or anything with neroli in (vom). I want something that isn't full of chemicals.

Have tried and not fallen in love with lots of La Roche Posay, Aveeno, Embryolisse, Una Brennan. Most recent purchase which I hated was Elemis Pro Marine Cream. Greasy texture and a bizarre savoury scent.

Budget is up to £25.

GO!!!!!!

Clarins face oil is 100% natural that's really nice and moisturising. Or cheap version botanics at boots is mostly natural I think.

I absolutely love the marine cream! Love the scent and everything so I'll keep my opinions to myself Wink...

Do you want it to have SPF? I have very thirsty skin (although that improves in summer) and I wear Nivea blue pot, then once it's sunk in, Boots Baby Soltan SPF50. Makeup on top.

I probably need something lighter for summer though - last summer I used this Avene one which is really lovely.

I don't like putting oils on my face. Tried with a few different cleansing oils and moisturising oils but no, much prefer a nice thick cream.

Ballroom I've just finished a sample of that. It was fine but nothing to wrote home about. I want something naice that feels like a treat to apply.

Oh I was just coming to recommend aveeno! I love it

I like the look of that Pippi. I also like the look of their Full Cream moisturiser.

Will investigate further. Thanks Smile .

Olay 3 point Regenerist. Amazon £15 -ish. Awarded best budget cream and IMO as good as £40 ones- eg Clinique. You can get it perfume-free too.

Pippidoeswhatshewants · 18/04/2015 15:35

I use the anti ageing in the day and the full cream in the night or when my skin feels dry.
I also use the tinted moisturiser by their sister company, dusty girls.

I don't work for them, I swear.

OuchLegoHurts · 18/04/2015 15:44

La Roche Posay nutritic intensive is absolutely amazing for dry/dehydrated skin. No smell, creamy but non greasy, my skin drinks it up and it has definitely improved my wrinkles too. It costs about 25euro, so less than 20 sterling I guess

Kennington · 18/04/2015 16:10

Maybe try mixing? I use protect and perfect day cream with a touch of grape seed oil and that is rich enough for my dry cheeks ....
