I'm currently in a 38e. And my daughter a 34b.

Messaging us both.

I am 37
She is 33 1/2

Bending over at a 90 degree angle. And measuring the fullest part.

I am 47
Dd is 38

I'm thinking I should be 36 gg?
Dd should be 32 or34? Dd ?

OK, you could start with trying 36GG/H and 38G/GG (the 36 will most likely be better). You DD should try 32DD/E and 34D/DD.

Thanks sorrell

Sorry to hijack sass but I need help too! I currently have 34B bra on which doesn't fit at all but is the best one I have. It's too big round the back and the cups gape.
I measure 28 round the back and 35 over bust. I tried 28E and 28F but they were really tight and I had underarm fat bulging over the cup. Please help!

sassandfaff · 18/04/2015 12:24

Did you measure using this technique?

OP posts:
YourBubzYourRulzHun · 18/04/2015 12:27

Yes sorrel, I did. A few times aswell to make sure it was right and got DH to check too

YourBubzYourRulzHun · 18/04/2015 12:27

Sorry sass didn't read it properly!

sassandfaff · 18/04/2015 12:34

Sorry then bubz that's about the extent of my knowledge!

Hopefully someone will be along shortly.

Ok thanks sass Hope you get sorted out anyway and find the perfect bra!

SorrelForbes · 18/04/2015 12:40

It might be one of those people that need a bigger cup than you measure. I'd suggest trying 28FF/G. I'd also suggest trying the 28 bands on back to front to test the fit without it being skewed by too small cups.

YourBubzYourRulzHun · 18/04/2015 13:01

I'll order some more and try those, thanks sorrel
I can't find anywhere that has 28 in store to try so I had to get an account and order from Simply Be and then send back!

StatisticallyChallenged · 18/04/2015 13:04

Generally Debenhams, John Lewis and Bravissimo will stock 28s if you have any nearby.

If you are ordering online, I'd suggest ordering brands like Freya and Cleo/Panache. Their sizing is a bit more reliable and will give you a better idea of your true size. Brastop, Bravissimo, Debenhams, Amazon, Mycurvesandme, Leia, Figleaves etc etc all stock 28s

YourBubzYourRulzHun · 18/04/2015 13:11

Sorry, yes you're right. I did look in John Lewis but 28C was the biggest cup they had. I'll check where nearest Bravissimo is and look in Debenhams as there is one not far from me.
I think it was a Freya Deco Plunge and a Cleo that I tried. I'll try with the bigger cup size. Thank you!

StatisticallyChallenged · 18/04/2015 13:26

Most John Lewis stock Freya bras - you might find there's a separate D+ section though. Cos you know, us D+ ladies are so special we need to be kept away from the normal bras Grin Hmm

Debenhams is the same actually, normally a bit labeled "fuller figure" or similar. Lovely! Particular favourite was buying some undies from debenhams and the receipt just said "plus size" against every item...

YourBubzYourRulzHun · 18/04/2015 13:29

Oh ok, I didn't know that! I'll feel a fraud if I go into JL and ask for D+ section! Like they'll look at my tiny boobs and think yeah right love! I love any excuse to go there though so I'll make that a plan for next week.

sassandfaff · 18/04/2015 18:12

I was just in asda and saw they had a g range.

Tried on 3 different types.

The 1st was in the sale and said it was plunge. It fit well on the band but had a big gap over my boobs.

The 2nd was under wired but not padded. Again fitted well on the band, but flatten my boobs slightly in the cup.

The 3rd was a padded T-shirt bra. That felt tighter and gave me skin overhang at the back under my armpits. It felt and looked OK on the cups though.

Any ideas?

All were a 36g. That's the biggest cup size they do.

SorrelForbes · 18/04/2015 20:04

Unfortunately the sizing/quality in Asda is not going to be of a high enough quality to give you the support and lift you need. I suspect that the 36G was just too small in the cup, hence the tightness and overhang. Did you scoop?

sassandfaff · 18/04/2015 20:17

Yes I scooped.
I thought the same myself. Was just curious to see my size.
I will have a trip to debenhams I think and try the gg cups. Thanks

Akire · 18/04/2015 20:21

I got my new bra one of them fits ok in cup but the underwire digs right up my armpit! It's least inch bigger than my normal is this just this style of bra or will most bras this size have higher wires?

I've got the next size down as well and the wire is shorter but surely bigger boobs does not mean the bra line to armpit is bigger?! Any hints?

StatisticallyChallenged · 18/04/2015 22:59

Which bra was it Akire?
