Anyone use Boots No7 Foundations? I have been looking at their Superlight and Stay Perfect foundations. Are they any good? Thanks x

Yep I use the Lift and Luminate and the Natural one. I have tried the other two and both are lovely but I preferred the super light one.

stevienickstophat · 17/04/2015 12:41

Me! I went and had a colour match done this week and I got Lift and Luminate.

The colour is perfect and the texture lovely.

I've worn Clinique for years and this knocks it out of the park.

Chuffed!

Stay Perfect was good whilst I had oily skin. Good staying power considering how oily my skin was, didn't oxidise and medium to high coverage without being cakey. Can't use it now my skin is dry however as it sticks to flaky bits.

JohnCusacksWife · 17/04/2015 13:08

Did the matchy thing yesterday and got a Lift & Luminate foundation. Really pleased with it - a definite improvement on what I was using before.

yazzy85 · 17/04/2015 13:45

Sounds very positive! I had my colour match done last weekend and tried on the superlight but haven't purchased yet. Looks like its worth investing in, the colour match was spot on too which doesn't happen very often.

I use stay perfect from the colour match and it's a perfect match, hardly to need to blend on my neck. It's a semi matte so perfect coverage for me Smile

loismustdieatyahoodotcom · 17/04/2015 14:48

Apparently it's a Estée Lauder double wear dupe that's highly recommended love it.

CiderwithBuda · 17/04/2015 14:50

Really recommend too. Wouldn't buy any of the more expensive ones now.

zinnia · 17/04/2015 15:35

Yes the Stay Perfect is v.g. - just bought my second batch (after matching). I have a sample of the new Clinique (can't remember what it's called but it's the one where you can vary the coverage) and the No 7 is more natural-looking.

pinkfrocks · 17/04/2015 15:38

I tried Lift and Luminate which was nice product but all the shades are too dark and too pink for me- I'm very pale.

Petal02 · 17/04/2015 15:48

I love No 7 foundations. I used Clinique foundation in the past, but since discovering No 7, there's no going back.

INeedSomeHelp · 17/04/2015 15:54

I use the Superlight also after getting the colour match. I really like it as I don't want anything too heavy and it is, well...super light!
I've found it's even lighter than other BB and CC creams I've tried but it does still cover any red marks.
You can also be colour matched for concealer now too I believe.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/04/2015 16:01

I've never tried No7 ( I don't really wear foundation TBH, but I have a Soap&Glory CC cream that is a bit too peach but blends in ok, and a Bare Mineral powder)

Is the Colour Match truely accurate?
Might have a try tomorrow .

SorrelForbes · 17/04/2015 16:22

pinkfrocks That's interesting. I'm very pink/cool toned and the Lift and Luminate in Cool Ivory is the only decent match I can get. See my post on the other Foundation thread listing the many, many shades I've tried. Lots of pale, yellow tones that could work for you.

There is a matching concealer too and a Touché Eclat dupe (not as good but close) which I use.

pinkfrocks · 17/04/2015 16:41

Thanks Sorrel- will take a look.
My skin is neutral. I am using Dior Star at the moment in their 01 shade (I think!)which is neutral. In Bobbi Brown I can use Porcelain or Warm Ivory (in summer) though it's too yellow in winter.

pinkfrocks · 17/04/2015 16:45

The Dior is 010- evidently all those ending in zero are neutral.

SorrelForbes · 17/04/2015 16:56

I tried Dior Star in 10,11,12,13, 20,21 none of which were right, all too yellow. Such a shame as I really liked the texture and coverage.

Fabulassie · 17/04/2015 17:39

I have only ever used the Protect and Perfect or whatever it's called but I really liked it. I went through two bottles of it, which is not normal for me as I am one of those people who thinks she's discovered a new Holy Grail Foundation every couple of months. That would be why I haven't replaced with a third bottle - but it was good stuff.

I have heard their little colour match thingy isn't so accurate. I would recommend using it as a starting point but trying the shades on either side as well. And if possible, take the mirror outside to see in strong daylight.

Yonkersdoodle · 17/04/2015 18:00

I had my skin colour-matched at my local Boots. The No7 lady colourmatched my entire face to the shade of my freckles. I went in a pale-skinned Celt and came out a Latino lovely. Lady insisted I looked 'like I'd been on holiday'.

I might try again in a different branch...

yazzy85 · 17/04/2015 20:21

Yonkersdoodle they should be doing the match near your lower cheek/jaw area and on both sides. Thats what the lady told me. Maybe try again?

I had the colour match done (side of jaw, both sides) bought foundation on the 3 for 2 offer.

I tried it this week ( Superlight) it's very nice (I used my fingertips to apply but I will buy a sponge. I have a foundation brush too, but I need to practice with that)

Very pleased Grin
