Grow hair fast?

I've been eating well, not straightening or blow drying, conditioning, massaging the scalp and getting regular trims since I stopped dying my hair last August. The roots have grown a bit and the last 4 months it feels like the regrowth has stayed the same.

any products worth using to help? I'd just like my natural hair back and then to grow it longer

Brewers Yeast works for me. Look up its benefits for hair

netty36 · 17/04/2015 01:23

Fish oil works for me but i take 8 capsules a day. Its great for my skin too.

CheeseBored · 17/04/2015 01:37

8!?! that's a lot! I take two and I thought that was excessive.

I don't know of any products to speed up hair growth, but eating lots of protein must help.

cloverclovy · 17/04/2015 02:23

Sea kelp. Though some people mention side effects.

I also do natural protein masks; mayonnaise, olive oil etc Oil the ends to minimise breakage.

The lack of straightening has helped me enormously. Perhaps make your regular trims, less regular? Anything more than every other month was too much for me.

Alpecin caffeine shampoo (the longer you leave it on the better it works), sea kelp supplements and weekly head/scalp massage using a good quality coconut oil.

Mine always grows much faster in hot countries and during the summer. Maybe it's the vitamin d but get some sunshine!

Lizzylou · 17/04/2015 06:44

Biotin supplements, 1000mcg, I get mine from Amazon.

Whataride · 17/04/2015 06:53

I've been taking Great Lakes Collagen powder for my skin and my hair has grown rapidly.

rootypig · 17/04/2015 06:55

How old are you, OP? what does your hairdresser say?

FrugalFashionista · 17/04/2015 06:57

I've liked biotin, have eaten it all winter and very happy with my hair.
If problems persist, have your TSH values and hemoglobin checked.

ZaraW · 17/04/2015 08:32

I started taking Biotin after chemo and my hair had started to grow back. It worked really well.

ChickenSoupChef · 17/04/2015 11:09

I'm 25, have a 10 month old and been growing the dye out for 8-9 months so I don't know if that would have had an influence.

Caffeine shampoo is something I am planning on trying, thank you for the replies I will look into all of them.

To the lady who says she takes 8 a day? Do you know how much each tablet has? And why 8?

I once read the orgasmic diet and that recommended maybe 12-15 a day of high quality high dosage omega 3&6.

the pills are so big I avoid taking stuff like that, I might just have to stop being a baby about it lol

I use Fast Shampoo and think it really does work. My girls use it too and their hair has grown much faster than usual also.
