joules sizing

Is joules sizing true to size or do I need to go bigger?

tend to buy a 16 but can remember a few years ago trying a jumper on and needed a 18 is that still the case?

I always size up yes

Greengardenpixie · 15/04/2015 22:10

Some may argue that they are true to size. I find them neat. I would size up unless its jersey and stretchy.

Elliptic5 · 15/04/2015 22:13

I find some things are true to size, but generally if you want a top you can wear something under you may be better sizing up.

NormHonal · 15/04/2015 22:17

It depends on what it is.

I've always found that the sweatshirts shrank a bit when washed so ordered a size up. Ditto children's clothes, my DC1 is small for age but have needed to size up with Joules.

The new crop of blouses/tops seem to run much bigger. I have lost a bit of weight, but have sized "true" when ordering and still swim in them.

I don't know really. Does the item you want to order have any reviews? Different items come from different manufacturers so I suppose it's normal to have a variation.

Have ordered size up as its a jumper but not one that I'd want fitted.

I find that knitwear runs very big as do blouses, but jackets run small. I wear a 14 in their knitwear & blouses but a 20 in their jackets!

BeaLola · 22/04/2015 19:38

I always size up , usually they do free returns so you could order both to be on the safe side

andadietcoke · 22/04/2015 19:41

I've bought three dresses and a top in the last few weeks and all TTS.

ElizabethHoover · 22/04/2015 19:42

sadly i bought a top from there
HATE the brand, love the top
I dont think it was big tbh

katheryn2000 · 13/12/2020 12:33

I am contemplating buying a belted Joules walking coat, I am a good size 12, do you suggest that I buy a 14 or a 12?

TheSilentStars · 13/12/2020 12:34

For a coat or jumper I might size up but as a quality brand they are pretty true to size.

katheryn2000 · 13/12/2020 12:34

I am considering buying a Joules belted walking coat, would you suggest that I go a size larger, I am a size 12?

carlywurly · 15/12/2020 22:12

I wear a 12/ m virtually everywhere except joules where I buy the stripe tops and blazers in a 16.. the shell and vest ones are more normal fitting ime.

It might be a busty thing.

Countmeout · 16/12/2020 08:41

Agree size up in jersey, definitely shrinks I could’nt understand a couple of years ago why something seemed smaller after losing weight.
Coats I would say true to size except one unlined raincoat parka type thing I bought that was definitely big.
