What clothes are we breastfeeding in this summer?

Hi, DC2 is due in a few weeks. So this Spring/Summer I will have a tiny hungry baby and a flabby belly. I had DS at the opposite end of the year, so was wearing very different clothes.

After spending winter in men's jumpers with boots, and frumpy maternity clothes I want something nice and fashionable for summer, but BF friendly.

I don't have a lot of suitable clothes, as all my existing summer clothes are tiny t shirts, as I was a skinny size 8 last year, and will probably be about a 12 after baby.

I went shopping today looking for thin cardies to layer over vests- couldn't find any anywhere. I do have one or two but they are tired and boring.

I despise those specific BF tops with a crossover and a flap.

Previously I've always done the layers thing for BF. So if I wear a strappy vest that can be pulled down for boob access, what shall I wear over it? Other ideas?

I'm planning to just double up my vests, possible a thicker strapped one on top of a this strapped one. The primark cami vests and dresses are pretty good for the job.

I'm also looking for cardi inspiration!

I'm a wimp about cold, so in the typical British Summer it's only during that 10-day heatwave that I usually bare my arms, hence the need for cardis or something! Stocking up on Primark vests.

I'm thinking of some pretty but loose and light tops that are easily lifted up with vest underneath.

I do the vest thing too. Jojo
Mama bebe does a control nursing vest that's v tight and short, I currently wear it under light sweaters. I like the look of the Next linen-y t shirts and vests somebody linked to in a holiday dressing thread recently.

Primary might have those light cardis you need.

I wear the Primark vests too! Just under normal tops, loose ones only at first, but now I'm more confident with bf and have lost the baby weight I wear fitted ones too.

I'm going for maxi dresses and vest tops, I have a few bf tops that family have bought but I'm not going to spend that much on one item of clothing as one was £20 just for a top with wrap over bits :/ xx
