Pepperberry - still poor quality?

Has anyone ordered from here recently? I haven't had anything from them in ages as the quality isn't great. There are a couple of summer day dresses in the catalogue that I really like though!

Everything appears to be viscose. Am I right to recall that is the clingy material that gets little holes in it almost immediately?

Viscose can be clingy, but it depends hugely on the individual garment/manufacturer. I've got quite a lot of stuff from Pepperberry and haven't had quality issues with any of it so far - no clothes with holes or such like

I think their stuff is expensive for what you get tbh. I really wish another company would do similar clothes for us busty ladies and give them some competition.

Quality seems to be okay, but everything still seems to be ridiculously low cut. I'm fed up of having to wear a petticoat under everything I buy from them.

I was in the edinburgh store today and I wasn't too impressed with their stuff. The materials were fairly flimsy and they seemed to be awfully expensive. The more formal dresses looked nicer and better value for money

I think I'll wait until I can do a collect from store so I don't have to pay postage if there's a reasonable chance I might return. Everything is so well photographed these days that it all looks fab in the pics and you can only really be disappointed by the reality!

I like the casual Boden summer dresses which are the same price and fit me nicely but they always have a discount code knocking about to reduce the price.

I find the dress length is my main problem - everything is above the knee, which is not great on me...

I have a couple of tops from them- quite pricey but DH got me a voucher :) They are well constructed but yes, very low cut! If I want to wear one to work I wear a vest underneath.
They had a nice summer blazer in last year- might have to see what's in this year.

I find a lot of their stuff too low cut as well. I wondered if it was my height but looks like a few have noticed. I'm 5'2".

I had a beautiful silk/cotton mix dress from them when they first started. I think viscose can be quite nice can't it? But often needs dry cleaning? What I really want is a nice cotton dress with a v neck and short sleeves. That I don't need to wear a vest under. There must be other people with big boobs wanting the same??

Nearly all their sumer stuff is sleeveless, I agree Sorrel, I wish they did sleeves too.

If you look at their Facebook page, go to photos, there are several ladies who try on their clothes and post photos, with a littler review sometimes too. It does help to see what they look like.

Pepperberry - such a disappointment! The thing that bugs me the most is that a lot of their styles are still cut high under the bust, ie a style that is right for a small bust as it emphasises it but not right if you've got huge norks!

Clothes that suit big busts are completely different and not just bigger versions of current fashions. IMO.

Yes, why is that?
Especially their wrap styles. The ties are up under your armpits. A lower waist would be far more flattering.

I think they want us all to be proud of our bosoms. I just want stuff that fits without the equivalent of a big neon 'look! boobs!' sign.

I have the Henley stripe dress and every time I wear it I get loads of compliments, it's really lovely, no quality issues either.
Other than that I haven't bought any clothes from there for ages because they are always too low cut, or too short.

Would their tops be any good for someone who's at the bottom end of the Bravissimo bra range but who has broad shoulders?

I am currently 30/32D/DD/E (starting to try new bras!) and even when I was flatter chested often found my shoulders were a size, or sometimes two sizes, bigger than the rest of me in high street jackets, shirts and dresses.

Oooo. Definitely don't want low cut. Recently finished breastfeeding DC2 so cleavage is a bit deflated! Don't need any attention drawing to that.

I wouldn't worry about anyone looking at your cleavage; without a vest underneath you'll have half your bra on show!

I think think it can depend on what you buy. I have some of their blazers which are great. Dresses can be a problem to fit and yes, more sleeves are needed.

Most of their clothes are quite fitted Impatient with lots of boob room but probably standard shoulder room - although they go through several bust fittings, so if you went for the least buxom then depending on style they might be ok.

They are expensive because they don't have the buying power of other places (so ordering 600 dresses in a size 8RC instead of places like M&S that would order 1000s) and because instead of ordering items in 6-8 dress sizes, they have to order in 18-24 dress sizes, which only a few factories will do. They lose a lot of their stuff too quality control (if its mms out of the size) but then the factories are allowed to sell that stuff on ebay a season or two later so you can pick up bargains that way.

In terms of quality, to keep prices as competitive as they can.... they have to make savings somewhere! But they are aware of the quality feedback and afaik trying to improve it. I agree it is really hit and miss though. I HATE feeling flammable.

The shirts are really good ime, as are the tweed jackets and jersey maxi dresses.

I've seen lots listed as Pepperberry OOAOML. You'll sometimes see styles which never made it to the shops at all too
