What to wear in summer?

So I am 35, tall, size 20/22 but decreasing! (Lost 1.5 stone in last 2 months).

I need summer casual clothes to wear, capsule wardrobe style as I hope to lose more by next summer. I have never been good with style, especially in summer. In the spring/autumn/winter I wear a denim skirt with a v necked jumper and opaque tights. Last summer it wasn't that hot so I wore the tights most of August! I can't wear heels, so shoes must be sensible, I also get very hot feet, and can't walk in flip flops! Ballet pumps are also impossible to wear, I have to have something across the top of my foot. Legs are my worst asset!

Help!

I'm the same sort of age/size as you and I spent last summer in black linen trousers and a range of tops. It was the first summer I didn't melt!

That was what I was hoping to do for work!

Clarks usually have some great summer shoes. Maxi dresses look great on tall women and will hide your legs if you don't like them. x
