Good face cream with SPF

Could you recommend a good daily face cream with SPF? Just been diagnosed with skin cancer so need to make this a top priority.

Not too expensive if possible! Have seen boots sell one which has good uva and uvb protection but wonder if it will be very greasy?

Lots of people recommend the Clinique one - Cityblock? Might be worth a look although depends on your skin type - I have combination/oily and found it caused lots of breakouts

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis.

Alpha H Daily Essential Moisturiser SPF 50 is good. Has a wee bit of tint too. Just bought Dermalogica Sport 50 for summer which is a sunscreen not a moisturiser but it is very moistursing. Had tried a few lately.

Also I had a thread about good facial sunscreens a while back, some good suggestions there and another person with skin cancer has just posted on it about heliocare sunscreens (she uses them, recommended by a dermatologist and she provided a link to place where you can get samples to try for just p&p. here is the thread

La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 50+.

I use that instead of a face cream in the morning.

Google Sun sense and ultra sun

But actually a hat is your best line of defence

MrsBertMacklin · 14/04/2015 22:52

Don't get one in a jar, or clear packaging. The efficiency of anything in these breaks down very v quickly (c/o Paulas Choice).

I like Ultra Sun. Doesn't bobble under makeup.

There's a Sali Hughes review article on this

Sunsense Daily face SPF50
It's light and non greasy and under a tenner.

Thanks so much everybody.

Lots of good options - I know my skin would happy with clinique and sunsense seems fairly reasonable. Thanks also for the tips re hat and jars etc :)

I like the La Roche Posay 50+, and the tinted one works really well on its own. Have just ordered the Sunsense everyday, and will be interested in how that works

Revision Intellishade is spf45 and really nicely lightly tinted and moisturising. Tis expensive but seems worth it as it does 3 jobs in one.
