Better bra measuring guide question

cuntyMcCunterson · 14/04/2015 10:48

Using the better bra measuring guide I get 32&42/3 (gave DH a good laugh watching me measure). I wear a 34e just now (bravissimo deco) but daren't do the scoop as there'd be more out than in!
Going by these measurements I'm thinking 32GG?
is this measuring guide usually accurate? I only ask as I need to order online and don't want to have to but and return lots before I get a good fit.
TIA

yes 32GG or H, but especially the cup size measurement is not an exact science - but it gives you a starting point where to start trying. And you also need to find a cut that suits your boobs, not all bras fit the same, even if they are the correct size. So if you order online, choose a place that does free delivery and returns.

I've just placed and order and have ordered everything I want to try in 3 different sizes, as then I might get a good fit.

The measuring guide is basically right on average - but there are some people who need a bigger cup, some smaller, etc etc.

Bearing in mind that if you go down a band size, you go up at least 1 cup just to maintain the same volume - so a 34E is equal to a 34F anyway. So a GG would be 3 cup sizes bigger. From what you are saying about your current bra it doesn't sound unreasonable

Thanks folks, I've decided to put tomorrow day off work to good use and nip into bravissimo.
My boobs are bottom heavy I'd say and pretty close together (no real gap in the middle. Does anyone have any hints on the style that may be best suited.

Plunges will often be the best for close set, but on the flip side most aren't good for bottom heavy as the breasts can pool in the bottom. Bravissimo do a few which are though.

Don't rule out taller gores though. I have ridiculously close set boobs, and I find I either the need the middle to be really really low, or quite high so that the top of the gore is high enough to not be stabbing me in the boob! I'd definitely go in, it's well worth it

Thank you.

Yes, it's pretty good.

32G, here. 32FF some brands. The odd 34F in those that haven't caught up.

Successful trip to bravissimo today 3 new purchases and the guide was pretty much true to size just depended on the style of bra.
Glad I found the measuring guide-already passed it on to friends.

Glad you had a good trip! Careful, once you start with good bras they seem to have addictive properties...

p.s. cunty - judging by the pepperberry thread you were in my local Bravissimo too.
