Particularly inexpensive ones!

I have four black tie events this year and need some new frocks, but am hoping not to spend too much...

Me too. Watching with interest

T K Maxx is always good. I've got a few dresses from there

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 13/04/2015 21:04

I'll have to try TK Maxx again, my local branch is fairly small with a fairly odd selection.

Tk maxx, or john lewis/debenhams in the sale (I've had a few nice phase 8 etc dresses). Got a fab Hobbs dress for £20(!) from Boundary Mill (usually full of clothes for the older customer, IME) so worth trying there if there's one nearby.

BallroomWithNoBalls · 13/04/2015 21:08

Asos.

mooth · 13/04/2015 21:47

Phase Eight or Coast.

Asos
Chi Chi London
House of Fraser

Virgos Lounge have some lovely dresses under £100 that look much more lux than that - can't link but google it or look on asos as they stock some lines.

dementedma · 13/04/2015 22:18

EBay. Got a midnight blue silk one, heavily beaded for £20!

Oly4 · 13/04/2015 22:19

Coast
Banana Republic

Allie82 · 13/04/2015 22:45

Not inexpensive but I always go for Coast.

It depends on what sort of dresses you like, but price wise I go to Missguided.co.uk for dresses. Affordable and usually lots of choice!

FrugalFashionista · 14/04/2015 09:46

I find Yoox great.

Thanks all, much appreciated.

Asos is a revelation - I've never really looked at them before.

I tend to like more classic dresses, and I try to avoid black because it's usually overdone.

I am definitely trying for the under £100 price mark.

I've had some success with eBay but often end up just selling them on again without wearing them.

Right, I've ordered 3 from Asos, 1 from Debenhams and 2 from House of Fraser. Ranging in price from £30 (sale price) to £90.

Most will probably go back but in the meantime I look forward to all the lovely parcels. Smile
