When people have really long thick eyelashes, what are they using?

I was out yesterday (Lakeside) and I noticed loads of young women (mainly) with really long, curled eyelashes. Not spidery like falses eyelashes of old, but really thick, dark and long.

I'm suffering major Eyelash Envy here. They can't all be blessed with natural eyelashes like this and it's not an evening look .
So what are they using?
What's the secret that everyone except me knows? (OK , slight exaggeration but YKWIM)

Probably false eyelashes.

I have naturally long eyelashes and I use Bad Gal mascara from Benefit. Not always popular on MN but it works really well for me.

Fakes or eyelash growth serum like RapidLash.

My beautician does fake lashes that are glued on individually and last a number of weeks. I know they take upwards of an hour to apply; the thought of someone bending over me and my eyes forced open for that long is enough that I haven't explored further.

Mine are stuck on every 3 weeks.

LVL lashes straighten and enhance your own lashes. Could be those.

I had individual eyelashes done 'professionally' once, it was horrendous and a really painful experience. I wouldn't do it again.

mystery I had that done - I had to close mine for an hour while I lay on a bed. I fell asleep! Results were shit tho, they fell out after a week and cost a fortune.
