Hair treatment recommendations?

Can anyone recommend an intensive conditioner/treatment for coloured hair? I have been growing it and the bottom 2 inches look damaged despite regular trims.

I like the Moroccan oil hydrating treatment but think I need something with protein? Has anyone got any suggestions?

I swear by Philip Kingsley elasticer (available in m&s) I find it really helps smooth out my hair (similar problem) and make it easier to style
I put it on damp hair, put on a shower hat pray the door doesn't go then crack on with the house work then wash it out. I also slap it on and relax in a bath or leave it overnight if I feel hair is really dry.

I second Elasticizer. Brilliant stuff. You do need to use it a couple of times a week initially if your hair is in poor condition and then can use it once a week. Leave it on as long as can.
