Jeans falling down all the time

Is the answer (other than losing weight) to get some high-waisted jeans?

I'm a 16-18 depending where I buy from and I am struggling to find a pair of jeans that don't ride down when I walk. I don't think the problem is that they are too big or small. It just seems that the cut is not right. I have a big belly and am pear shaped which I think is the cause of the problem.

Can anyone recommend any cheap, high-waisted jeans for me to try? I'm fed up with wasting money on badly fitting or uncomfortable jeans.

I have to size down on jeans, they stretch.

I have to wear high waisted jeans whatever size I am, I think it's just my shape! I've just got a nice pair of high waisted skinnies from H & M. Ptimark do high waisted skinnies to, but the sizing is bonkers! So don't be surprised if you end up buying a size 14 or a size 20!

The only jeans I like are the primark high waisted ones but I'm usually a size 16-18 and I get a 14 in those! Bargain for £11.

I also love marks and spencers jeans. I generally take a 14 in those too. They do tend to shrink after a few washes though so sometimes I buy a size 16 depending on the cut.

I always go for high waisted ones as my waist is quite small in comparison to my hips / bottom.

I have the same problem. It's because I don't really have a waist. For me a belt solves the problem.

I am the same. Mum tum and pear shaped. High waisted jeans all the way. On the others a belt does the trick.

The only jeans that stay up on me without a belt are M&S 5 pocket jeggings - they sit on my waist

I'me about the same size and my best fitting jeans are from Peacocks. I find Primark high waisted tend to be so skinny in the calves that they actually look and feel weird.

Dorothy Perkins Eden jeggings are the only ones that do not fall down on me. I'm size 16.

Belt solves this problem but I used to get this too with low waisted jeans. I think it was like trying to make a balloon wear a pair of jeans - it's bound to fail. Sizing down makes jeans quite unconfortable to wear. I found that stretchy jeans with high lycra content made the problem worse as they have a tendency to give.

Looks like a trip to Primark is in order. I have some leggings already which are great and do stay up but I'm not sure about wearing them with shorter tops, for some reason proper denim looks better with anything that is waistlength.
