The *best* eyeliner?

I have bought so many eyeliners but have not found the holy grail. Any recommendations of great eyeliners would be gratefully received.

I don't want black, but other than that I just wanted something easy to apply, doesn't smudge and is long lasting. Is there such a thing?!

Thanks!

For liquid I love the Barry M ones (and they're ridiculously cheap!) and for pencil I rate No. 7 and Bourjois; the latter does gorgeous metallic ones. If that's your sort of thing of course. I find pencil earlier to apply but liquid ones are more long lasting. Depends what is more important!

YY Barry M (but I love the Metallic pencils) The colours are intense and the pencils are soft and long lasting.

If you look at "In Style" magazine, they have a choice of Eyeko products , one was the eyeliner (I didn't buy it so no clue how it is though)

I have a cheap Collection (2000?) felt tip liner and it's fantastic. I think it's about £4 - really good for doing flicks.

Elizabeth Arden Smokey Eye pencils are just lovely, lovely, lovely - never drag, never dry. Or are you looking for a liquid?

LL0015 · 11/04/2015 21:40

Pencil - Laura mercier brown. Or the clinique quickliner. I alwalys use brown in day but I am blonde/blue eyes
Liquid - Eyeko Skinny black. Great for evening but I tend to go heavier with the above.

And I have tried them all! (lots of free make up at work)

Avon Glimmersticks are fantastic for a solid or smudged line, Rimmel for liquid.

goestoshowyouthough · 11/04/2015 22:09

Bobbi brown gel eyeliner is good

DrEllieSattler · 11/04/2015 22:12

Rimmel for liquid. Gel.

My every day eyeliner is a Rimmel Exaggerate "eye crayon" it's super soft, never hurts the delicate skin and sharpens with the built in sharpener in the end with the smudgy bit. Waterproof, lasts forever and really inexpensive!

SailorTwift · 11/04/2015 22:15

I've got a dark grey pencil from topshop. I absolutely love it and at £8 (I think it was) it's been a very welcome alternative to my urban decay one which set me back around £15 and I've not noticed any deference in length of time it's lasted.
Topshop have some fab colours as well.

Another vote for Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner! I am useless at using pencils but that little brush is amazing and it stays put all day/night.

DaftSkunk · 12/04/2015 17:37

Thank you everyone for the suggestions! Flowers

Does anyone use these for tightlining?
