Would a lyocell dress be sweaty?

I've seen a lovely casual red summer dress on the Toast website which is 100% lyocell. Would that be a sweaty nightmare in the Summer? TIA

I've had very good experiences with lyocel/ tencel. I have found it very comfortable and I'm picky. I mostly wear cotton.

Don't know what the Toast dress is like, but in the past I've had lyocell garments that were comfortable to wear but creased and looked liked rags the moment you breathed on them.

The opposite in my experience - and I'm a sweaty beast.

I have worn lyocell/tencel for a couple of years and it's my favorite from the viscose family. It's more expensive to make than run-of-the-mill viscose. Slinky, cool and much easier to maintain than viscose - needs ironing though. I have a lyocell jumpsuit and a lyocell shirt that are my summer staples. The skin feel is somewhere between silk and cotton in my opinion.

I seem to remember that Lyocell is made from wood pulp. Therefore it is a natural fibre and shouldn't be sweaty.

Thanks for all your contributions to the glamorous conversation of 'sweat-making or not'. Sounds like it wouldn't be an issue, roll on payday Wink
