Fat face dress - opinions please

It's this one. Bought it this morning on impulse as I have a voucher that's about to expire.

What I'm really after is a daytime / school run / garden / shopping / running round after toddler dress. Can't be too short as I'm a bit podgy with fat knees. Also don't like my arms much either!

What type of shape would this dress suit? I've tried it on and my 4 year old said 'you look big mummy but I still love you'Confused

I don't think it would suit me, and I am a 14 Confused. Its the arm length and neckline which wouldn't work on me, as my top half is bigger than my bottom half.

Also what's the fabric? If its quite polyestery it wouldn't be my first choice for a summer day dress - I get hot!

Nice. Would look good with tan or gold sandals and jewellery.

GerbilsAteMyCat · 11/04/2015 13:47

Iike it! I find the dresses tend to shrink a bit in the wash so be careful.

Might also be good?

I have this dress! I wear it for work quite a bit with a blazer, black tights and boots.

I'm 5ft 7 and it sits just above my knee and wear a size 8.

Branleuse · 11/04/2015 14:01

i like it. I have similar from there but strappy.

burnishedsilver · 11/04/2015 14:15

I like it too.

Elemental · 11/04/2015 14:20

I have it too, and I'm a size 14. I think it's quite a flattering fit, but wear it for work rather than round the house.

SmileAndNod · 11/04/2015 14:31

Thanks. I bought it in a 10 and the fit is good (now) but wondering whether to size up for shrinkage? Does it make you hot those that have it? It feels quite heavy but the man in the shop said it's quite breathable.

I'm terribly indecisive. I don't buy for myself that much as it makes me feel so guilty so everything I buy has to be properly considered!

I love this dress! Been considering buying for ages. Where did you get your voucher from?

SmileAndNod · 11/04/2015 14:49

It was a gift voucher I had for mothers day. I hardly ever see discount vouchers for fat face. They are giving away a £20 voucher if you spend £70 at the moment though..

I don't get too hot, but I'm quite a cold person.

SmileAndNod · 11/04/2015 19:45

I'm a chilly person too so it might be ok. Will try it on again a few days and make a decision then. May try a 12 too but then it probably won't fit so will around the middle. I'm an odd shape - wide shoulders and big bum!
