leopard print heels to an interview?

Can you?!

I have an interview (car dealer admin) and am wearing black smart trousers, simple black round/scoop neck top and smart tailored black jacket.

I really want to wear my leopard print heels because:

they look best out of all my others tried,
I can walk in them as not too high,
they seem to make the all black outfit look put together well,
I feel confident in the look.

They are quite muted print if that helps and not the yellow/black colours (more dark beige/ brown and black). Not at all slutty!

Is it ok or a complete faux pax for an interview setting?

If they are as toned down as you say then I think yes? I am not a leopard print fan but if they are demure rather than in your face, why not.

I was at an interview a month ago and someone was wearing leopard print shoes.

I would go for plain black for an interview & then when you get the job (positive thinking) introduce your leopard print shoes.

DearPrudence · 09/04/2015 19:30

Yes, wear them.

Leopard print all the way!!!!
Makes you look confident.

If it were me judging you I'd think it ok for the job you're talking about. I might not risk it as there can be slutty/ tasteless overtones for those not in the know. If you're interviewed by women with any idea of fashion you'd be ok. If you were interviewed by a man they might make the wrong impression. That said, how many men notice shoes ?!

as long as they don't make you walk like a duck (as most high heels do) then fine. No-one will notice, shoes aren't interesting but silly walks stand out.
